The Alishan Forest Recreation Area covers a total area of more than 1,400 hectares, and the park is lined with ancient trees, where dozens of 1,000-year-old cypress trees have been found, hence the name Alishan sacred trees. The most famous tree is called the Alishan Sacred Tree, which is over 3,000 years old.

Dozens of Thousand-year-old Sacred Trees have been found here, hence the name Alishan sacred trees. For the convenience of visitors, there are two scenic wooden boardwalks with a total length of more than one kilometer in the park. The boardwalk winds its way through the forest, with ancient trees on both sides of the road, as if Walking Through Another World.

In fact, there is not a single mountain named “Alishan”, the correct term is “Alishan region”, which encompasses dozens of peaks.

The giant trees here are mainly Cypress Trees, and dozens of over-a-thousand-year-old cypress trees have been found here, the most famous one being the Alishan Sacred Tree which is over 3000 years old. In addition, there is a new generation of sacred trees in the park – the Xianglin Sacred Tree, Shen Yi Bridge, Heart-shaped Giant Tree and many other landscapes.
