A Classic Fuji View
Arakurayama Sengen Park is a famous observation point of Mount Fuji. Every spring, 650 cherry trees bloom one after another, and many people come here to enjoy the cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji.
Arakurayama Sengen Park is located in Fujiyoshida City, and the observation deck at the top of the hill is a famous observation point for Mount Fuji, with the classic image of the Five Storied Pagoda and Mount Fuji together.
It’s not easy to get a view of Mt. Fuji from here, you must first climb 398 Steps, which is quite a challenge for visitors. It’s not until the moment you reach the top and see The Bright Lights of Downtown Fujiyoshida at the bottom of the hill stretching all the way to the foot of Mt. Fuji, that you feel all the previous efforts are worth it.
Every spring, 650 cherry blossoms bloom one after another. Cherry blossom combined with The Traditional Style Pagoda and Mount Fuji, make the park even more gorgeous.
There is a shrine halfway up the mountain, The Arakurayama Sengen Shrine and the entrance to the shrine is a red torii in the trail. The shrine provides a stopover point for visitors to view the scenery while learning about the history and legends of the sacred Fuji.
