Explore the 100-year History of Speed

The BMW Museum is located at the foot of the BMW headquarters building in Munich, it tells the story of BMW's 100-year history. The museum houses more than 100 classic BMW models, ranging from engines, motorcycles, Formula 1 cars, saloons, to sedans and concept cars.

BMW, the long-established car manufacturer in Munich, Germany, is headquartered in the northwestern suburbs of the city. The Bowl-Shaped BMW Museum was opened in 1973, along with the four-cylinder-shaped BMW headquarters building. The museum tells the story of BMW's 100-Year History and has a collection of Classic BMW Models on display. Millions of visitors come to the BMW Museum and BMW Welt every year.

“BMW” is the abbreviation of Bayerische Motoren Werke, which is also an aircraft engine manufacturer.

In 1916, BMW started with the manufacture of Engines and then moved on to Motorcycles. It wasn’t until 1928 that it started to produce four-wheeled vehicles, launching The First Car Model BMW 3/15 PS.

The BMW Museum has several exhibition areas with more than 100 BMW cars, from Racing Cars, 3, 5, 7 Series Cars to Concept Cars.

Next door to the museum is BMW Welt (BMW World), the world’s largest BMW sales center, where you can test drive the latest models and products of BMW.
