Jinan

Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, is located in the heart of Qi-Lu and is the political and cultural center of Shandong. With its long history, Jinan has many famous attractions, such as Daming Lake, Qianfo (Thousand Buddha) Mountain, and 72 springs, including Baotu Spring, Black Tiger Spring and Pearl Spring. Jinan’s Three Great Scenic Spots

Daming Lake, Qianfo (Thousand Buddha) Mountain and Baotu Spring are known as Jinan’s top three attractions. Daming Lake is wide open, with many ancient temples and historical attractions around the lake. Qianfo Mountain has a panoramic view of the city. Baotu Spring is the most famous one among the seventy-two springs, known as the “#1 Spring in the World”.

There are countless springs in Jinan. Besides Baotu Spring, there are many other springs located in different corners of the city, such as the Black Tiger Spring, Pearl Spring and the Five Dragon Pool, each with its own characteristics.

Moreover, it seems that the word “City of Springs” has become deeply embedded in the blood of the old city. Spring City Square, located in the center of the city, is a symbol of Jinan. Tourists coming here every day to enjoy the musical fountain performances. As the most popular commercial street in Jinan, Lotus Street (Furong Street) also gets the name from the Furong Spring in the street.
