The English Garden in Munich is one of the most extensive urban gardens in Europe, spreading from the city center to the edge of the city. With the exception of the iconic Monopteros and the Chinese Tower, the garden has been preserved in all its natural glory, making it a rare place for relaxation and fitness.

The English Garden (Englischer Garten) in Munich is one of the most extensive urban gardens in Europe, larger than the well-known Central Park in New York, and spreading from the center of Munich along the Isar River to the edge of the city.

The English Garden of Munich has been kept as natural as possible, except for the Monopteros at the top of the hill and the Five-story Wooden Chinese Tower and other iconic landmarks. The beer garden at the foot of the Chinese Tower (Chinesischer Turm) has been open since 1789 and has seating for 7,000 people, making it Munich's Most Famous Beer Garden.

River Surfers
