Gardens By The Bay

Flowers and Giant Trees.

Covering an area of more than 100 hectares, Gardens by the Bay is Singapore's urban nature park with a collection of green plants from around the world. Gardens by the Bay has two glasshouses, the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, as well as landmarks such as the Supertree Grove and the OCBC Skyway.

Gardens by the Bay is located next to Marina Bay, Singapore, with a total area of 101 hectares of three gardens all built on reclaimed land. The Bay South Garden, located behind the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, is popular among tourists because of its ample sightseeing facilities and convenient transportation, and it is also a popular tourist destination along with The Merlion Park as must-see attractions in Singapore.

There are 18 artificial Supertrees in Gardens by the Bay, which are unique in appearance and designed with a green philosophy that makes full use of solar energy resources. Twelve of these trees form a Supertree Grove that lights up the night sky of Singapore’s Marina Bay after sunset with colored lights around the giant trees. If you are not satisfied with wandering under the trees, you can also climb up the 22m High OCBC Skyway among the trees to see the rare plants planted on the trunks of the trees up close, while getting a full view of Singapore Marina Bay.

Manywhere Tips:
For those who watch the Supertree Grove light show, remember to set up an alarm. The show is 15 minutes long, please leave the venue quickly afterward, or you will most likely not be able to get a taxi.

Gardens by the Bay has two glass greenhouses called the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. The Flower Dome 花穹 was awarded the Guinness Book of Records for the world’s largest glass greenhouse, with over 32,000 plants inside. The Cloud Forest 云雾林, on the other hand, brings the 35-meter-high Cloud Mountain into the house, which is not only filled with orchids and ferns, but also has an unforgettable waterfall pouring down from the top of the mountain.

Art Sculptures in the Garden

In addition to landmarks such as the Supertrees and the glass domes, there are also Heritage Gardens such as Chinese, Malay and Indian gardens inside Gardens by the Bay, waters such as Dragonfly and Kingfisher Lakes, as well as Sun Pavilion, a children’s playground, The Meadow and other landscapes.
