Guijie Street (簋街 or 鬼街, the Ghost Street), a street less than 1.5 kilometers long from Beixinqiao to Dongzhimen, is a famous Dining Street in the capital city of Beijing.
The street looks ordinary during the day, but when the restaurants light up Fiery Red Lanterns in front of them, the whole street is illuminated as if it were daylight. Grilled Fish, Spicy Crawfish, Sauteed Bullfrog in Chili Sauce, Spicy Crab, and Lamb Spine Hot Pot are the specialties here, and each restaurant also has its own reserved cuisines.
No matter spring, summer, autumn or winter, the front of the restaurants are always crowded with diners waiting for a seat, the tourists who come in admiration are often shocked by such a scene.
