Manywhere Trivia:
There is a BIZZARE local drink called “Laoshan White Flower Snake Herb Water (Laoshan Oldenlandia Water)”, trust me, you gotta try it.
The Yangkou area is located in the northeast of Laoshan, in addition to the Taiping Palace, Guandi Temple, and other Taoist temples, it is best known for its dangerous and majestic natural landscape. To reach the top here, you need to pass through a passable wonder named Sky-seeking Cave 觅天洞. A natural cave of 100 meters high has been formed between the two cliff walls, and although there is a climbing path carved out of the boulders by later generations, you still need to get on your hands and knees and bend your head down to pass through it. When you step on the mountain-top Tianyuan, the Heavenly Court 天苑, it really seems like you are in the heavenly palace of Jade Emperor.
The Chessboard Stone scenic area is also known as the Huayan Tour Area, and both the chessboard stone and the Narayana Cave are naturally formed natural landscapes. The Huayan Temple 华严寺 was built in the Qing Dynasty, with a main hall dedicated to the Three Saints of Hua-yan (Shakyamuni Triad), namely Vairocana Buddha, Manjushri and Samantabhadra.
