Six Million Souls
The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe covers an area of 19,000 square meters and houses a total of 2,711 concrete monuments of identical size, ranging in height from 20 centimeters to 4.8 meters, commemorating the six million innocent Jewish victims of the Nazi atrocities of World War II.
The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe (German: Denkmal für die ermordeten Juden Europas) is located in the heart of Berlin, covering 19,000 square meters, the size of two and a half football fields, only a two-minute walk from Brandenburg Gate.
Opened in 2005, this solemn memorial site houses 2,711 Concrete Monuments to the six million innocent Jewish victims of World War II. Each monument is identical in cross-section and is arranged in a grid-like pattern, forming a well-planned cemetery-style layout when viewed above. Their Heights Range from 20cm to 4.8m.

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is built close to the street. There is no fixed route, and is accessible between every two adjacent concrete monuments. Among the Monuments above Your Head, a sense of invisible oppressiveness was created by the monument’s designer, American architect Peter Eisenman.
There is always a teacher telling the younger generation about the period of World War II and The History of the Nazi Massacre of the Jews. In the underground information center, a collection of precious historical materials can be found here, bringing the tragic history to life. It is also dedicated to Germany’s complete reflection and sincere repentance for its crimes.
