Onuma National Park is located in Nanae, north of Hakodate, Hokkaido, and covers an area of about 9,000 hectares. Onuma National Park has forests, wetlands, lakes and bays, mountains, and other landscapes where sightseers can enjoy excursions such as hiking, biking, climbing, and skiing.

To meet the needs of all kinds of people, Onuma National Park has planned several classic hiking routes according to the length and difficulty. The Big Island Route is relatively flat and takes only 15 minutes to complete, making it suitable for all ages. The Forest Trail and Island Cruise routes take 20 minutes and 50 minutes respectively, with several ramps and stone bridges along the way to enjoy the richer natural scenery, requiring a certain level of physical strength.
