Roppongi Hills 六本木ヒルズ is a Modern Commercial Mega Complex in the Roppongi area of Minato, Tokyo. The project was first proposed in 1986, but was not completed and opened to the public until 2003, a period of 17 years, and is said to be the largest urban redevelopment project by a private company in Japan.
Roppongi Hills is a shopping, residential, entertainment, and dining complex that covers an area of approximately 11 hectares and includes high-end brands such as the Grand Hyatt Tokyo. The main building of Roppongi Hills, the Mori Tower is 238 meters tall with 54 floors above ground. The building is mainly used for offices and houses the Mori Art Museum and the Tokyo City View observatory. The Mori Tower, with the Nearby Tokyo Tower as its company, is another iconic landmark of Tokyo.

The Mori Garden is a Japanese garden in Roppongi Hills that has existed since the Edo period and was originally owned by the Mouri clan, a Japanese Warring States daimyo. The cherry trees, ginkgo trees, and camphor trees next to the garden’s pond bring life and vitality to this concrete forest, and in spring the garden is crowded with cherry blossom lovers from all over the world.
After the opening of Roppongi Hills in 2003, Japan Asahi TV Headquarters also moved here. The building has a full glass curtain wall on the outside, so you can see the live studio inside through the window.
