Red Brick Beer Factory and Garden
The Sapporo Beer Museum, opened in 1987, was the first beer-themed museum in Japan and is located in the very factory where the original Sapporo Beer was made. The Sapporo Beer Garden is built by the museum and features beautiful scenery and several restaurants.

Converted from the former Sapporo Brewery, with Red Brick Facade and Towering Chimney, the Sapporo Beer Museum allows visitors to feel the vicissitudes of developing days of Hokkaido before they even enter the museum.
Manywhere Trivia:
Sapporo Beer originally used a red five-pointed star as its logo, a shape reminiscent of buildings from Hokkaido’s developing period, such as the Sapporo Clock Tower and the old Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, which both have such a red five-pointed star on them. There are also more than one stars on the building of the Sapporo Beer Museum.
The Sapporo Beer Museum shows visitors The Historical Path of Sapporo Beer for nearly a century and a half, and the history of the Hokkaido Development Commission through illustrated and informative historical materials. The museum also has a collection of equipment and devices such as Boiling Pot and yeast cultivators used in the beer brewing process.
Visitors can enjoy freshly brewed beers such as Sapporo Draft Kuro Label and Sapporo Classic in the Five-pointed Star Hall on the first floor of the museum.

Sapporo Beer Garden is built beside the Sapporo Beer Museum, the garden has a large green lawn where many visitors can sit and talk. The Sapporo Beer Garden has several restaurants with specialties such as the Lilac, Garden Grill, and Genghis Khan Hall (Kaitakushikan), which was converted from an old brewery where grilled lamb with beer is a great way to enjoy together.
