Sentosa Island is located in the southern part of Singapore's main island and is famous for its beaches, entertainment, shopping, and hotels. Sentosa Island is home to three scenic beaches and popular tourist attractions such as Universal Studios Singapore.

Sentosa Island is located in the south of Singapore’s main island and was occupied by the British during World War II as a military fortress. At the beginning of this century, the Singapore government carried out reclamation work on Sentosa to significantly extend the eastern coastline of the island, and now Sentosa is the fourth largest outlying island in Singapore.

Like the Singapore Marina Bay area, Sentosa Island is also Singapore’s most well-known leisure resort. Not only can you choose to enter Sentosa on foot or by train, but there is also a Cable Car to the Island from Mount Faber on the opposite side.

Manywhere Tips:
Officially, there is also a $1 fee to enter Sentosa Island on foot from the wooden trestle bridge, except that no one is charged for now. It’s really not that far to walk and you can enjoy the sea view on the way.

The three beaches of Sentosa Island are very scenic and over 2km long. The Siloso Beach conveniently located with lots of entertainment and resorts around for relaxation and sightseeing. The Palawan Beach has clear and sandy water, with a marine suspension bridge straight to the offshore islands, which is the southernmost place in mainland Asia. Tanjong Beach is a little far from the island’s tourist area, so you can avoid the hustle and bustle and enjoy a private vacation experience.

Apart from the stunning natural scenery, Sentosa Island is also home to an endless number of entertainment facilities and commercial centers. There were two Merlions on the island, but unfortunately the Big Merlion Statue has been removed and the remaining Smaller Colorful Merlion became the star of the island.

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) has seven themed areas and more than 20 thrilling rides, you can also meet Minions, Marilyn Monroe, and the escaped Velociraptor in the park. Besides, Resorts World Sentosa has also launched S.E.A. Aquarium, Water Adventure Cove Waterpark, Dolphin Island, and other scenic spots waiting for you to explore.
