Four Dishes and One Soup
The Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster consists of one square and four round shaped Tulous, which are named Buyun, Hechang, Ruiyun, Wenchang and Zhenchang. Due to the unique shape and layout, they were also given the nickname "four dishes and one soup".
The Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster is located in Shuyang Town, Nanjing County of Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, consisting of one square and four round Tulous. Nowadays, Tianluokeng Tulous are regarded as the symbol of Fujian Tulous and a must-see attraction, too. People have given it a nickname based on its appearance, which is Four Dishes and One Soup.
The Tulou in the center of the five is called Bu Yun Lou 步云楼, which was built in the first year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1796), it is the only square Tulou in the Tianluokeng cluster, and the oldest one, too.

The mythical buildings of Tulou were once mistaken as missile silos.
The other four Tulous are all built around Bu Yun Lou and are named He Chang Lou 和昌楼, Rui Yun Lou 瑞云楼, Wen Chang Lou 文昌楼 and Zhen Chang Lou 振昌楼. Besides Oval Wen Chang Lou, which is located on the west side, the remaining three are standard round Tulous. Each of the five Tulous has three internal floors, the smallest He Chang Lou has 22 rooms per floor, while Inside the Largest Wen Chang Lou, there are 96 rooms total on the three floors.
